St. Patty's Day Fun

Every St. Patrick's Day weekend we have a party at Troy's Dad's house. We all wear green and eat green food. Troy's step mom Joan loves Holidays and she always goes above and beyond on the food and decorations. She always has fun things for the kids to do. We all love it! All the grandkids with Grandpa and Nana Iverson

Funny Dax

Yesterday Dax did a couple of really funny things, so I thought I would post them really quick before I forgot about them. He was playing out in the backyard with Carston and three of Carston's friends. Troy was outside working on something and I went out to tell him I was running to the store. Dax overheard this and said he needed to tell me something before I left. He told me to come inside with him. As we were walking inside, I asked him what it was and he told me to shut the door first, so I did and then he said "I just wanted to kiss and hug you before you go." It was so sweet and so cute. He still wants kisses and hugs, but just not in front of his older brother and older brother's friends. Later that night as we were getting the kids ready for bed, I couldn't find Miley's binky, so I asked Dax if he would help me look for it. Less then a minute later I heard him say in a really loud, low, voice "By the power of God!" I turned around and he was holding the binky straight up in the air by a pair of kid tweezers and he kept saying "By the power of God!" I was laughing so hard, I had a hard time gaining my composure so I could explain to him that we shouldn't say Heavenly Father's name like that. Kids are so funny I have no idea where he would come up with that.

Having Fun for Free

We wanted to do something fun with the kids last Saturday, but we didn't want to spend a lot of money. We decided to stay in our pajamas and spend the whole day hanging out with the kids. We built a hut and relaxed and played around all day, it was great! We had a picnic lunch in the hut We told scary storiesAfter a nice afternoon nap (in our beds), we watched "Horton Hears a Who" in the hut.
Even after we put the kids to bed, we left the hut up and Troy and I popped popcorn and watched a movie together. It was a fun day and it didn't cost a thing!
